
Senior Scientist (T Cell Engineering)

Description
We are looking for a Senior Scientist (T Cell Engineering) to join our R&D team as we expand our drug developmental program. Reporting to the VP of Research, the candidate will contribute to the translational pipeline by developing methodologies and workflows for various immune-based therapeutic modalities, and validating drug candidates. The successful candidate will have excellent technical competencies, analytical and strategic thinking abilities, and is able to work effectively across multiple projects.
Responsibilities
Independently establish SOPs to enable primary T cell engineering using delivery methods including the use of viral and non-viral approaches such as, but not limiting to, lentiviral transduction and transfection using electroporation methods.
Develop and execute small to large scale production of engineered cells for in vitro and in vivo uses.
Develop and execute various in vitro and/or in vivo cell-based functional assays to validate developmental candidates.
Perform data analysis of experimental results and present work regularly to various stakeholders.
Work with other R&D team members to improve pipeline workflow and technology development.
Contribute to scientific and strategy discussions to achieve R&D milestones.
Contribute to patents, publications, and technical reports.
Requirements
PhD in Life Science, Biotechnology or related Biological Sciences disciplines (3 years of post-doc or industry experience). Industry experience is highly advantageous.
Experienced in culture of immune cells for genetic modification and familiarity with development of cell based immunotherapies
Ability to design vector systems for CAR-T/ TCR-T expression
Ability to work independently and with other team members
Able to adapt to a fast paced start-up environment
